Congress & President Criminalize Protests on Federal Property: Goodbye First Amendment!
The 2012 assault on the Constitution and Bill of Rights by President Obama and a bi-partisan Congress continues. An obscurely named bill, H.R. 347: Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, essentially declares American citizens criminally trespassing on Federal property, as determined and declared by the government. This is directly aimed at peaceable assembly and protest. This law was signed by President Obama on March 8, 2012. Of course, if you are identified as a potential threat to Amerika, you can be detained indefinitely anyway without trial, legal representation, or court appearance via the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) approved by Congress, signed by President Obama, and effective March 1, 2012.
President Obama had no reservations signing this legislation and restricting liberty. Which Senators stood up for the Constitution and voted no? NONE! The United States Senate unanimously approved this law. 100% of Republicans and Democrats.
Okay, the Senate is the rich and top 1% chamber, surely the House of Representatives, the people’s chamber, at least had a robust and vigorous debate on the freedoms of Americans. Which Congressmen stood up for the Constitution and voted no? 3! The bill was approved 399-3! The 3 Representatives voting no: Paul, Ronald (TX 14th), Broun, Paul (GA 10th) and Amash, Justin (MI 3rd). 30 Representatives did not bother to vote!
The ongoing and increasing power of the federal government and your loss of freedom and rights is bi-partisan. Politics on the stage of mass media is the same as pro wrestling, all for show. But when the votes are quietly cast and ignored by the managed corporate media, there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans in our current American two-party dictatorship. If you believe there is ultimately a difference between the two political parties in the United States, I am saddened and disappointed to inform you of the sham and delusion of Congress, all recent Presidents, and the current Presidential candidates.
Congress, our elected democratic representatives have been bought and paid for and no longer protect your interests as a constituent and American citizen. This has been made perfectly clear also by a recent report and post, Treason in America: President, Defense Secretary, United Nations, & NATO Nullify Constitution & Congress. The fix is in and I am certain your grand-children, if not your children, if not you very soon, will live in a Orwellian Fascist Nightmare. Take courage, have heart, and make your stand for a free future.
I am not profiting by telling you this and I have no skin in this game. I have no children and therefore no grand-children, make no money from posting this, and at my age and health may live another 13+ years. Your Congressman and Senators have big money in this game from being bribed by special interests and corporations. All I am attempting is to warn my fellow American citizens of the unbounded pride and greed of our leaders who have sold their souls to the rich, soulless corporations. They want you obedient, submissive, compliant, and doing their bidding. They want you poor and powerless. So who will you believe? If you do believe me, what will you do for your children, grand-children, and future Americans?
Will they look back, as serfs or slaves, and wonder why their grandfather and grandmother stood by and did nothing? You see your rights and freedoms disappearing each year, each decade, each generation, but you do nothing and believe the lies instead of breaking out of your illusory worldview. What if the Founding Fathers had done the same? John Hancock? Patrick Henry? Just ignored the ongoing onslaught against rights and freedoms by King George and the British Empire?
The Issue at Hand:
Constitution of the United States
Bill of Rights
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
HR 347 – Trespass Bill Threatens First Amendment H.R. 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, is feared to be a serious attack on the First Amendment. The ‘trespass bill’ which passed with unanimous bipartisan support could effectively make protests illegal in many cases. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks down this threat to free speech.
What Is H.R. 347 Ban on Protesting? A new bill was passed by the house that bans and criminalizes protesting, this is an attack on our first amendment right. Very important that you favorite and like tea party and occupy. Yes Ron Paul voted against.
